DOJ Settles Immigration-Related Discrimination Claim Against Staffing Company

The U.S. Department of Justice recently settled an immigration-related discrimination claim with Priority Fulfillment Services, Inc. and PFSweb, Inc. after the company rejected valid Puerto Rican birth certificates and required individuals to present naturalization documents to prove their citizenship status, even though Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens by birth.

The companies were ordered to pay a civil penalty and back pay.
